Why I Decided to Join Meno Fit

A few weeks ago, I signed up for Meno Fit with Petra a two-week online program for perimenopause women. I met Petra through a menopause get-together we both attend. I hadn’t been active for some time, and being post-surgery and menopausal, I had noticed weight gain, stubborn fat, and joint pain. I was also concerned about osteoporosis, and I knew that strength training could help. It felt like the perfect time to introduce some gentle movement post-op.

My sister has also hit menopause at the same time as me, and she has been struggling. She’s ten years older than me, and we both needed to find movement and support each other through this strange chapter of our lives. It seemed like the perfect opportunity to work together on improving our health.

Week 1: Getting Started

The workouts were a great way to ease into movement, especially post-hysterectomy. They were gentle, effective, and easy to fit into the day. The first week included stretch, core, and full-body workouts, all around 8–10 minutes long. It was easy to slot them in between work, kids, dogs, and house chores—no excuses!

Petra emailed us daily with tips on meal planning, sleep, and overall wellness. These emails were short but packed with useful information, making it easy to stay on track. Rather than giving us a strict meal plan, she provided guidance on what to focus on nutritionally.

The first week, we were lucky with the weather—it was sunny, which made it easier to stay motivated. I felt great, and my sister was thrilled at how quickly her stamina improved. The only downside? I got a bit overenthusiastic after one workout and ended up so sore that I struggled to sit on the loo for a couple of days! Lesson learned.

Week 2: Progress & Results

The second week was a little tougher. The weather turned grey, and I always struggle with low energy when the skies are dull. However, having my sister and others doing the program alongside me kept me accountable. I had a couple of exhausting days where I just couldn’t fit in a workout, but I reminded myself that consistency, not perfection, was the goal.

By this point, we started linking the workouts together to build strength. I felt stronger, more energised, and more positive overall. Eating better made a noticeable difference in my mood and energy, and I even decided to pick up some supplements to support my health further. The combination of movement, nutrition, and supplements left me feeling brighter and more balanced.

Would I Recommend It?

Absolutely! Meno Fit with Petra was easy to follow, supportive, and motivating. It was the perfect reintroduction to movement after a long break. Petra provided just the right amount of structure and encouragement, making it easy to stay engaged.

Since completing the two weeks, I’ve tried to maintain some of the habits. I haven’t stuck to it as much as I’d like, but I have kept up with longer dog walks and occasional workout days. The best part? Less pain in my hip, which was a big issue post-op.

For anyone navigating menopause and looking for a structured, supportive program, Meno Fit is worth considering. It’s not about achieving perfection but making small, sustainable changes that add up over time. It’s a great way to kick-start your movement journey and feel better in your body.
